With my Little Man about to turn 1 in just over 8 weeks time I am flat out planning my first ever dessert table.
Those of you who read my blog regularly would know that Mrs A in the Cove inspired me to start my blog in the first place. Well, she (as well as many other fabulous women out there) have also inspired me to attempt my very first dessert table.
Now, I've always been one to put quite a bit of effort into my boys' parties, and it's always been a mad rush the day before, with a guaranteed meltdown (from me, not the kids) the night before the party. So, it's needless to say that I am pretty overwhelmed with the whole thing. (Confession: in the interest of the family budget I am trying to do everything myself. Probably not the greatest idea, but we'll see how things go.)
I've found so many inspiring parties and dessert tables out there in the blogging world these past few months and I'd like to share some of my favourites with you today.
I am definitely using these for ideas and inspiration.
I must admit:
I'm having trouble planning where I am going to put things on the table. I like 'balance' but I HATE symmetry.
I'm a little concerned that I may be using too many colours...
Any advice or pointers would be much appreciated.
And so, without further ado, here are my inspirational pics!
How amazing is this creation by Hayley Moss!!! |
Stationary and craft ideas thanks to Cristina Re |
Many ideas thanks to Tracey Lau |
I just love these colours at The Party Studio |
The Superhero and Safari parties are both from Hello Naomi |
I love these apples holding up the cupcakes. From No Fuss Fabulous |
Hmmm, more synthetic grass and I love the shelf that is raising the cake in the back there. I found this party featured on Hip Hooray |
And I love this cutlery featured on Little Sooti |
Last but not least, Mrs A's cake toppers, popcorn and party boxes. Thank you ladies for the wonderful inspiration. I've taken it all on board and hope I will do you all proud on 30th October. Wish me luck... |
Looking forward to seeing your dessert table, Mira. There is some great inspiration there!
